Painted a command base for my papal pikeblock. I will play the pope in our upcoming campaign... :o

Leader of the group is Samuel, the Ethopian, a strong and fearsome man from africa.

Cheers,
Don

Love the flag  8) I'm not being cheeky but I'm assuming it's printed?

Yes you are absolutely right. The symbol is printed. Just the "white" is painted/washed brown plus the junction to the flagpole.

Don

Was it very fiddly cutting the WOTR neck to fit the Zouave body?
It's nothing, sir. Just a burn from a ray gun.

Nice group, that standard looks very good. Where did you "borrow" Samuel's shield from?

Okay, here just a few impressions of our little campaign, wich startet yesterday.
We are five players, repesenting 5 powers: venice, florence, milano, genovese and the papal state.

Did not manage to take lots of pics, because I was busy game mastering.

We played a "king of the hill" and a "capture the town" in a mixed 2 vs. 2.

Here are the forces of milano and genevese troops fighting it out on the hill.

And my brave papal troops trying to get in the town...

And the campaign map so far.
No conquests in the first round, so you only se the starting positions.

Cheers,
Don

Brill stuff- really looks like a game that i would have enjoyed playing  8) 8) 8).

What colours were used on the terrain boards to get that general colour? It's the colour that I've been looking to do but can't figure out what emulsions to buy!!??

Any help would very much be appreciated  :)

Darrell.

I dig the map.
"Peace" is that brief, glorious moment in history when everybody stands around reloading.

I' ll try to build a big cannon for our games, more as a mission marker, the actually a field piece...;)

Its a 1/72-modell by zvezda.

Beautifull modell, fits pretty well together.

Have to scratchbuild some crewmen...:)

I dig the map as well! (dig = like) :)

Are there any special bonuses for having / by occupying certain map areas/types?

I need to get that Zvezda cannon too!  ;D

Thank you...;)

@Special rules for areas
Each special area gives you one advantage:
Taverne = taverne: you get W3+1 rerolls during the game
Hospiz = hospital: you can remove W3+1 woundmarkers during the game
Schmiede = forge: you can upgrade one horse to heavy horse or upgrade one cannon to heavy cannon
Kirche = church: once in the game you can reorder one unit for free

Before battle you can choose 1 advantage from the provinces you own (attacker and defender).

Please pardon me for not translating all the campaign rules, takes me far too long. Bad english, lack of time... ;)

Cheers,
Don

Thanks for explaining that much :)

One question though, how about difference between field and forest areas? Just to contribute what kind of terrain is to be used or any other significance?

Okay. In wooden areas you get a free bandit unit as the defender. In a field area you get a small advantage as the attacker.

Posted the bandit archers a few days ago:
