Nice work, Matt!
 :-* :-*

I wouldnt have been able to resist doing the 'Red Skull thing' either.
Love it!

I have just acquired a few half tracks from different nations for my Khanistan Imagi-nation, so this provides two things:
1. Good reference material.
2: An unhealthy temptation.

Thanks Paul. I certainly couldn't help it!!  lol

OOh yes, they will go nicely with your SSS project too ;), go play with the new shiny plastics Paul. It's not like you have a 'scheduled' project to do. ;) Give in to the dark side and don't even bother with those silly elves on horses. Vehicles are more fun:D

I have been checking the Fantasty forum to catch your LOTR thread when it starts.

Cheers
Matt

 lol lol

I am still gonna blame you.
Cant take the blame myself, can I?
 :D

As for future projects: Your countryman has given me the nod to say that he is ready to get going on the Middle Earth front.
It is me holding things up as there are a couple of things for me to tidy up elsewhere first.
Green stuff is involved, but there will be a whole bucket of that once I get to Gondor, so this should be good practice....

Love that Red Skull. I honestly like oversized head to be honest; not very realistic but it certainly draws the eye.

I love the Red Skull too and think that the oversized head has a certain charm to it. Excellent job. :D

Haha go ahead and blame me if you need to. ;) I can take it. If you're finishing your cult sculpts they will need a ride, better finish that halftrack after all ;) :D :D lol

Thanks. I thought the original 1/48 Desert Fox was way too thin. Having a bigger head helps it seem more correct against heroic 28mm, and gives him a certain gravitas. After all, he thinks highly of himself anyway, so he deserves a big head. :D lol

I shall!
As for Cult Sculpts, they are all done, mate.
The new stuff is much more varied and should be ready soon.
But you probably already know that.....

Painting continues - just need to drybrush dirt/weathering, base and the eyes >_>

But picked this up today in the shops to add to my conversion pile :D I was inspired by the nice mystery van conversion.

With a little armour plating over the windscreen - it should be the perfect post apoc tanker/battle wagon

G'Day the paint has dried and the light came out for a photo.

I finished a few fellas and took a piccy of the new toy I bought.

Dum Dum and the Captain have made an appearance. Just the kind of 'old school' hope kids need in the apocalypse I think.
Figures are by White Knight, with the round shield being a scratch build from 3 layers of styrene.

What are the DUST troopers up to now? One half track isn't enough it seems, that they need to commandeer a small tanker too.

Cracking work, Matt!
 8) 8)

Love the way that you have finished those two fellas, a totally different take on DD than I went for.
(I really do need to do my Cappie soon).
 :-* :-*

I have been looking at those disney cars jobbies for a while and I think that you have just helped me decide....they are a good 'un!
Cheers!

I still think they are a little on the small side at 1/55ish rather than the 1/48 I am aiming for, and they are more 'rounded' but there is certainly potential there! They are quite different to the model of yesteryear range in detail/shape, but if your SSS/Khazakstanian nation circa 60's needs some other vehicles, perhaps they are the ticket. They aren't cheap at $16AUD a piece, but they aren't $40 models either.

You do need to cover eyes/mouths/bumpers depending on the vehicle - I'm tempted to get the combie after noticing one in this LPL entry by Rob

Cheers for the info, mate.
 :D

Khanistan is indeed what I am thinking.
Scratchbuilt resistance vehicles kind of thing.

I wasn't thinking of paying full price....more like either ebay or nicking 'em from my nephew.... >:D >:D >:D*

*Only kidding, Sis!
