If you consider casting a few coloured resin lamps, a blue resin might be handy for putting outside a police station...

You might be able to drill it out from the bottom and tint with yellow ink or something.

Wouldn't suggest it, clear resins are brittle. Shouldn't be an issue with something big like the lamp tops but drilling it out could easily shatter it.

They could but it would be difficult as it would need to be put in at the pour point. The detail runs the wrong way to pour from elsewhere.

Well I got my lamp posts and post box today, very nice!

That is pretty much exactly what I am looking at getting, although I think we may be looking at a few decades apart.

I see that people are wondering about the lamps and if they can be drilled out. Clear resin is really really brittle. I'd be amazed if someone can drill into it without shattering! If you can make that work though, that would be pretty good.

We are currently trying to make the clear crystal cluster miniature we make to have a slight colour too it to make it a bit more alien but still keep it transparent. The pigment is very strong and keeps making the clear resin opaque with colour! We'll keep playing around with it and you never know, there may be blue police lamps in the future.

both maxxon and Ray Earle asked if I can make special orders for them for lamps/manhole covers. Sure I can! If anyone needs something special message me and I'll see what we can do!

OOOoooh I just discovered this thread (I don't often visit the Gothic Horror section).

Such lamp posts could be useful for any late 19th - early 20th century  town, anywhere in the world and in places where you wouldn't really expect them.

Even "Back of Beyond" and "Pulp" players could be interested.

Saw these in the flesh at BLAM and my suggestion would be to leave the clear resin as a special order and just have 'normal' resin tops and white metal poles
