I'm trying to do a cemetary diorama and am in need of 28mm compatible lamp posts which actually light up. Can anyone suggest a source for these? Cheers for any advice given!

Check www.walthers.com and look for O scale lamp posts.  You should find plenty that work.

Seconded... someone once asked me about casting similar. I couldn't point them to that as a source quick enough.

If they need to light up you have to go for model railorad lamps. Some are too large, some too small - some just right. When buying online, don't judge by the picture, look for a real size indicator.
"I'd like to send this letter to the Prussian consulate in Siam by aeromail. Am I too late for the 4:30 autogyro?"
"Uh, I better look in the manual... This book must be out of date. I don't see "Prussia", "Siam" or "autogyro"...
