Nada. No surprise.
Who else Is going to have a Word with them at salute (as they don't even reply to Emails)?
Why a word, this won't help. Try an axe! ;) lol

It would be an effrontery when they come to Salute instead of packing parcel to satisfy backers who paid them since years!

If they have games to sell I imagine a lot of people will just try to take some. Could be a lot of confusion.

Do you think spending the backers money without sending the stuff they have to send to the backers???

I haven't backed this Kickstater, but I've been following this page since p~30. I do this to ensure I stick to one Kickstarter at a time (I've only backed Conan).

I'm commenting to a) make it easier to track this thread and b) tell NurgleHH he needs to start using anti-wrinkle cream as he's ageing rapidly with his new avatar ;)

Nice joke, they offered to give the stuff to the backers at the Spiel in Essen. But you they sold it before the backers could get their stuff. So, order without paying before getting it at salute or you go a high risk....

There should be enough enough backers who have been stood up in enough different places to systematically write a complaint to the organizers of every show Prodos visits, shouldn't there?
No angry rants or such, but just a politely worded explanation to the organizers that Prodos Games intends to make a profit at their venue/event by (re)selling product that other customers have already paid for, that this has been going on for an extended period of time and Prodos seemingly has no intention of making good on the transactions for which they have already received payment.
Pressure from the customers they have already wronged/defrauded may not interest them, but perhaps pressure from those they depend on to make money will?

Well... I hope for the backer's sake, they sell everything they bring to Salute.

A backer's boycott of All Quiet on the Martian Front products was very effective... drove the company out of business and left lots of unfulfilled pledges.

If you haven't got your stuff yet, and they are selling retail, it indicates a cash flow problem for the company. The more they sell at venues such as Salute, the more likely backer's are going to get their stuff.

I would imagine after Salute, given they are able to sell lots of product, there will be another wave of product going out to backers.

In retrospect, I think if I had know Alien Dungeon was headed for bankruptcy, I would have been more likely to have bought more stuff from them retail to help keep them afloat. But that's just me.

Yeah, thats what we have been told more than half a year ago for Spiel Essen, thats why they seem to have enough Money to Launch New systems, thats why we have been told over and over again that they have enough Money to ship....

Email from Prodos was indeed received 1st April!  It's a joke at the expense of the KS backers.

Well... I hope for the backer's sake, they sell everything they bring to Salute.

Personally I'd be more than happy to see them go out of business (despite them still having some of my money), but I do have great sympathy for all the backers that have had nothing and deserve to receive all that is owed to them.

I agree the situation strongly suggests a major cashflow problem, but I have little confidence that the funds generated by selling discounted stock at Salute will make one iota of difference to the outstanding KS situation.

I say we take off. Nuke the site from orbit. It's the only way to be sure.   >:(

Well, in my case, I was actually quite sorry to see Alien Dungeon go out of business and I really liked the All Quiet on the Martian Front minis.

For the life of me I just can't understand why they didn't just come out and say, "Hey, we're in trouble and need help." Mind you the warning signs were pretty obvious (such as going retail with products they still hadn't provided to backers) but it could have made a difference if an explanation had been made and folks informed of the actually situation and how it unfolded.

I don't believe Prodos is out to screw folks. I do believe there must be something going on back stage that they just can't get the balls to say.

Edit: I'm betting this has something to do with the licensing agreement that whacked them with unforeseen costs which couldn't be recouped via the kickstarter.
