Here's what I am currently working on:

Since the God of Battles ruleset went on sale, Ive been caught up in the 15mm craze. (though I have yet to play any games - Horisont this weekend will hopefully fix that)

I've also started making some scenery:

 - The thought being that I'll also try 15mm for SoBH. It's such a nice scale, I feel silly for not discovering it earlier.

A bit of a boring post, since its only work in progress pictures, but I felt it had been quite some time since I last updated the log.
In other projects, I've been drawing a map and writing some background for a campaign setting for SoBH, though it is in danish; so not readilly shareable.
At any rate -
Cheers! Affun

I for one LOVE W.I.P posts; re, it's really cool seeing how those GREAT LOOKING minis get that way. The Orcs are OUTSTANDING & the W.I.P. terrain & minis have potential. Keep up the FINE WORK!

It's great seeing minis from different manufacturers and decades brought together under some lovely brushwork! :)

I finished the first orc of the batch:

Snagrod the Smart, he is known as amongst his squad, though "smart" amongst orcs does not necessarily denote any great intellect. Rather, he has been known to offer such cunning tactics as "maybe we shoot 'em a wee bit, 'den charge!". A radical strategical move compared to the regular, orcish, "Let's crump 'em, boys!".

Taking pictures of miniatures this size turns out to be pretty difficult with my worn down phone-cam. I hope you guys can see whats going on.
I really like these miniatures, though I of course spent way to long painting detail, skulls and all. 15mm propably does not need two layers of highlight. Then again -  ;D

Thanks for all the comments - I hope to keep this log worth returning to, even though progress can get slow at times. I am greatly looking forward to Horisont, so I might snag a picture or two there for the log as well. (no promises though!)

Cheers!

Snagrod turned out SPLENDIDLY...the extra time & effort you put into your FINE brushwork has paid off. GREAT WORK!
Watching your project develop is going to be a treat. Have FUN at Horisont!

Now there's two of the buggers, all painted up and ready for raiding. Snagrod needs some underlings to boss around, after all:

(I might have overdone it with the levels in PS - My screen is sorta awful, so I hope it turns up decent on other monitors)

The Green Guys are LOOKIN' GOOD here! They do have an abundance of character...your OUTSTANDING brushwork might account for that. VERY WELL DONE!

Having somehow convinced another orc to join his gang, Snagrod leads The Pulpers on a raiding mission. While orc society mostly goes by the rule of the strong, Snagrod seems to have talked a few orcs into following his directions. Why they put up with him is hard to tell.

Finished another orc, and a piece of terrain. I'll try to take some better pictures when theres a bit more to show off.
Painting 15mm is pretty great though - miniatures get done so much quicker :)

LOOKIN' GOOD! Miniatures look their very best when photographed in their natural surroundings. The new Green Guy AND the terrain piece painted up in OUTSTANDING fashion. GREAT WORK!

They are lovely. I am sorely tempted by 15mm for a number of projects. I succumbed to an AVP one so far lol. Your making it hard to resist Fantasy though!

Being thoroughly enthralled by 15mm, Ive not only went for a couple of warbands for SoBH (2 of which I am giving away for christmas to my roommates; they'll have to play with me, then  lol ), but I am also woring on a set of proper 15mm terrain in a scandinavian/northern style.
I haven't got pictures of the warbands, as they are obviously secret for a bit, but heres a blurry one of a layout test for the terrain:

I managed to get a bunch of small pine trees for ~4£ (40 dkkr), so I've went with a tundra/pineforest look, as I think that fits the texture on the table as well.

I'll try and get some pictures of actual miniatures soon as well.

Cheers!

Check out Brink Of Battle, especially with the new fantasy supplement. It offers great customization and possibilities for warbands of all kinds while the core game allows you to field a wide historical variety divided into separate periods :)

There are a bunch of Brink of Battle related posts over at my blog, both Battle Reports and reviews of the books if you are interested: http://anatolisgameroom.blogspot.se/search/label/Brink%20of%20Battle
