Project X is a "Weird World War II" range originally produced by North Star, now owned by Scarab Miniatures.

Note that these are 1/48 figures, and tower over most 28mm: not necessarily a problem for the monsters and armoured suits, of course.
Back from the dead, almost.

I've actually picked up some of the Scarab figures and they are HUGE even by 1:48 measures - they're far larger than DUST figures or Tamiya, for instance, both of which are 1:48.

I think I wound up using a single figure, and was only able to do that because he's posed in a kneeling crouch, so it's not obvious how much bigger he is.

Weren't Project X produced by another small independent manufacturer even before North Star picked up the range?

I seem to recall that there was also a nice range of 28mm sized Buildings and such...?
Ask at the LAF, and answer shall thy be given!

Projekt X was always North Star, I think.  Wessex Games was originally going to produce accompanying rules.

You may be thinking of Monolith Designs, which produced chunky 1/48 Weird WW2 figures for Jim Bowen's Graven Images.   Monolith otherwise specialised (or specialises - I don't know if they are still going) in resin terrain.

Ah, OK, got them mixed up because of the scale. Couldn't imagine two separate ranges of Weird War stuff in 1/48.  lol

Black Cat Bases are kind of all over the place when it comes to themes and eras, but they have plenty of models that fit perfectly into pulp, from Jazz age civilians and investigators (including models of real life icons like Lovecraft, Charles Fort and Betty Page) to mad scientists and retro robots. Also carry useful stuff like props, cultists, pirates, zombies, angry natives, pygmies and so on.

Not strictly figures, but The Honourable Lead Boiler Suit Company have a pretty large range of 28mm vehicles (mainly boats, both civilian and military) from the early 20th century. Also dinosaurs.

I would also like to note that it's a bit misleading that you list West Wind Productions as "more properly a WWWII line", when their horror line Vampire Wars is full of pulp. http://www.westwindproductions.co.uk/index.php?route=product/category&path=70
Some of the models suffer from short legs and long orangutan arms, though.

Black Cat Bases was and still is (as far as I know) having SEVERE issues with order fulfillment - some people having waited up to two years or more for orders to arrive. I would advise extreme caution before placing an order with them and be hair-trigger ready to demand a refund through PayPal. You can see the TWENTY-THREE PAGE LAF thread on BCB here: http://leadadventureforum.com/index.php?topic=59375.330

In fairness, it appears that orders placed more recently have been mostly fulfilled in a timely manner, but until such time as they have re-established a strong track record over a more lengthy period of time, I will not be adding them to the list.

For West Wind, I can tweak the description. Done.

I did not know that, as I have yet to read every single thread in this forum's history. So no need for the angry all caps.

I very much doubt Fram was having a pop at you for not knowing or being angry.
My guess is he was just emphasising that it is a lengthy thread.

Yep, nothing angry directed at you Bug, sorry if you took that the wrong way. It's more that it's amazing how long that saga's gone on and how many LAF-ers have been burned.

The mods pinned the thread in an effort to keep as many eyes on the warning as possible, but not everyone visits the "Commercial" subforum, so it's catch as catch can.

Hell, not everyone reads all of this very thread (Black Cat Bases has been suggested several times previously and the issues with them are mentioned on pages 2 & 3, ITT  ;)  ). This tells me I should probably add some mention of them to the first post, so I will do just that!

The Blind Beggar Miniatures website is almost ready to go 'live'.

As we will be attending our first trade show on Sunday (SELWG 2016) the stock levels will be added next Monday to ensure that there are no conflicts of availability.

I have finished adding all of the Shop entries so you can take a peek now.
There is a Pulp section along with Sci-Fi, Old West and Mythos at the moment, with more to be added as time goes by.

http://blindbeggarminiatures.co.uk/shop

It is an ongoing WIP as articles will be added to the site over time, but for now it will launch with the Shop only.

Framframson: Would you mind altering the Blind Beggar entry in the OP when you get the time, as the old Blog entry is now obsolete (I cannot even remember the password for that to attempt to remove it... ::)).

Here are a few samples from the Shop:
