Beware though. There are 2 scales of x-wings. I remember AMTERTL to have both in 1/72 (or 1/87) and in 1/48. I think revell got the 1/72 one but not sure.

Thank you everyone. Sorry for missing so many posts. I was away for the weekend. Pretty sure I used the 1/72 scale X-wing. I know it isn't exactly the right scale, but if you use the 1/48th scale it fills a huge space on your table. As you can see, this model is plenty big, and it's significantly larger then the silhouette shown on the play maps that made for the WOTC collectible games.

Nothing new got painted, but I might start showing off some of my older WEG minis soon, just to keep the flame alive.

Yes please keep the flame alive!

Thank You kidterminal. Don't mind if I do.

I'll start out with some scale shots I promised to Raxxus over a week ago. Here are the IA Stormtroopers along with some older GW as well as a couple Hasslefree figs.

I also took a few more scale comparison shot, just because I was moving figures around. Here are those Stormtroopers along with Crooked Dice Fed Troopers.

Then there's Stormtroopers next to a Mongoose Judge.

and next to a Harlequin/Black Tree Design Dalek and the Doctor.

More to come.

Great additions  :)

I don't think the X-Wing looks too out of place and I think the 1/48 would be too big really  :?

cheers

  • Pedantic bugger, apparently.
Here are those Stormtroopers along with Crooked Dice Fed Troopers.

Looking like opposing pawns in a chess game!  A lovely array of figures.
Back from the dead, almost.

Thank you jimbibbly and Steve F. The idea of Imperial vs. Federation chess has some merit.

I had a chance to take shots of some of my WEG collection. I'll start with my Imperials. The Rebels and Rogues could take a while. Here's all the Imperials I have painted.

And to break this down, I'll start off with my Stormtroopers. 46 Standard troopers, 5 Sand Troopers and 2 Scout Troopers, and four Clone Trooper conversions at the back.

The Imperial Army troops, 20 soldiers and 1 officer.

Imperial Navy, 8 troopers and two Heavy Weapons with E-Webs.

3 Death Star gunners and a Pilot.

Imperial Droids, 2 Probe Droids and a Death Star Droid.

4 Officers, one of whom is obviously Tarkin.

8 Nogrii. (Not sure if that's the right spelling.)

The Emperor and 2 guards.

These are mostly older paint jobs, but I think they still hold up at a distance. Not my best photography either. I'll add more fluff later. Got to go get groceries with the wife.

fantastic! Love how you managed to paint Tarkin and a navy officer from the same mini yet look completely different.
