The Northern California Wasteland
« on: November 20, 2015, 06:56:18 PM »
Hi Everyone,

Long time post-apoc and Fallout fan. Stumbling across the This Is Not A Test Ruleset through Guerrilla Miniature Games inspired me to get started on building a few post-apocalyptic warbands and terrain. My brother and I are starting Fallout inspired warbands for a narrative campaign that I hope to document and share once we get all our terrain and miniatures painted. I wanted to share the beginnings of my collection.

Here are some teasers of my Hubologist warband; the post-apocalyptic remnants of the Church of Scientology in San Francisco. I am using the Preserver warband rules for them. This is my Savant and three Seekers. I will be painting up a Lorekeeper, a wreck-it-bot, and a med-bot to join them for the beginning warband. A prophecy draws them to the Sac-Town wasteland...

Off to a great start.

Love the take of your world.
Excellent terrain.
California, you say.
Your figures look a lot like some of
my relatives still living down there. ;)

This looks sweet!  Great looking war band and the sign is so nice I want to make some of my own!  I'm looking forward to hearing all about your narrative campaign.  I love a good story :) .

This is a shot of my full WIP Hubologist warband. The theme I wanted was going for the hooded religious zealots that you see in Fallout 2, but also I wanted them to have a strange, exotic, and perhaps alien, technological bent. I am really happy with how these guys are turning out. Out of the gate, I am going to prioritize painting my 400pt warband first before finishing up the extraneous guys.

I also have been pulling in a haul of Plasticville buildings. Here is the first all apocalypsed-up. I'm going to spackle and spray it tomorrow probably.

Good start sir!  Where the hooded zealots from - I don't recognize them?

And how are you doing the road - I kinda like that look, and it may be easier than the way I was doing them.

@Sinewgrab - I think the zealots are from Anvil Industries. Made by Miniatures of the North but sold by Anvil.

Yup! They are from Anvil Industry. The road is done by mounting rubble shaped pieces of foam board to mdf or other hard basing and sparkling the gaps between rubble pieces.
