Maybe some red on those doors and the lettering above them.  A little white between the raised red lines (your gas-oil line) would really bring your station in line with your bill board.  It looks awesome as is but some branding would kick it up another notch.

Huhh??  ???

Oops,  so sorry about that, it was supposed to say "I'm now enjoying your thread " as in playing the game has got me reading it. Bloody auto correct. Is there an embarrassed emoticon? I should have read it before I posted! Apologies.

Haha, figured as much from the tone of what you said before. Still, I was bit taken aback.  lol

Thanks for the thoughts, everyone! I'm liking the idea of adding some more red details and making the doors red. I had a similar thought about changing the door but held off because I didn't want to add yet another coat of paint on top... Hopefully a repaint doesn't gunk it up too much.

Yeah, my fault for not reading it before posting! One wrong letter changes the entire meaning of the sentence! I'm seeking out the various Fallout threads now I'm back playing the game.  I really couldn't get in to it before but I'm enjoying it now and looking at people's take on the Fallout world is proving to be very enjoyable.

I wanted to share the current state of my terrain. It's gettin' there. Most of the big pieces are done. Now I just need to work on that scatter terrain. I took all your advice and repainted the gas station doors red. I think they look quite nice. Many of the pieces here are refurbished bits of terrain from my 40k collection with a fresh coat of paint to match my new board. I want to get a hold of a few 0-scale cars to use as scatter - they are just so expensive... I keep fishing for ebay auctions and haven't found anything quite yet that seems like a deal.

I've been working on smaller pieces of terrain and some scatter terrain to use as objectives.

.. and here is the VaultTec monument with a little more work...

That's the sort of stuff that makes a table spring to life. I particularly like the statue.

Looking good!  The gas station pops nicely now and the statue rocks.  I still think the highway and signage look great and hope to tackle something similar in the near future (all I got done this week were some lousy cacti :( ).

Never go looking looking for O scale unless you want to pay a lot.  Have a look for 1/43 diecast toys.  The scale is just about right and the cost doesn't suffer from, "Model Railroad Inflation".
