This is the state of my terrain so far. Several pieces have yet to be painted, and several pieces need to be repainted. I also want to touch up my board and perhaps lighten it up. It at a minimum still needs a drybrush of a lighter color. I built it last year to play 40k on and it's going to become the new Sacramento wasteland. This is about what I want to get done before my first campaign games. I think one of the main things my collection is lacking is scatter terrain, so I gotta think about that...

Very good start. The oveall Colorsheme is well choosen. I would be very gentle in lighten this up, its easy to destroy this dark atmosphere. To enrich the board I would suggest some of this funny Glowing mushrooms with this greenish glow. That would add some lighter areas and would bring some color to the board!
The large lake looks a bit emty as well atm. Maybe a little diorama like half sunk Barrels with this Fallout typical Radiation paintjob on it would make a next cracking spot on. Adds additional color and brings a lighter area to the board.

I would put some dead things in it (pond) and mutated fish and such.

Some Mirelurks would do the trick.

Hilarious army choice- absolutely love it! Having grown up outside of Sacramento, I'm really looking forward to seeing how this develops. You should think about getting some old west buildings to represent old town. Or a community at the remains of Sutter's fort.

I like your table.
I agree with the others, add scatter terrain painted in lighter colors.
An example, things you could set on top of the water.
Like dead bodies.
You could then change them out.

Thanks all! These are some great ideas. I'll probably work on getting some scatter terrain to put around the board and lighten it up like you all have suggested. I want to make bunches of radioactive waste to place around - i've been thinking about picking up glow-in-the-dark spray paint to finish off such a piece.

I put some basecoats on my brothers NCR Rangers. I think they are shaping up nicely and will look pretty good when they're done.

Here's my gas-station and related terrain pieces. Gotta finish the signage but I am liking where these are going. The chemical tanks are from my 40k terrain collection with a bit of new paint to spruce them up.

Hmm.  The use of the lichen is inspired...I think I have a bag of that around here somewhere.  Keep up the good work!

Great piece,  that billboard is excellent!

Just an observation in an attempt to be helpful,  but perhaps the up and over doors would benefit from a splash of colour (probably the same red of the trim) to visually break up the self coloured frontage? You could paint the whole door, just the framework,  or just the rectangular pieces.

I've just restarted Fallout 3 having got nowhere with it years ago so I'm now enjoying your thread.

Edit: changed 'not' to 'now' so that bottom sentence makes sense! Sorry

Nice addition! I agree to give the doors another color then the whole building to spice up the whole piece.
