That looks incredibly cool...thanks for posting the link as I had no idea this flick was even out there. Looks like a good movie, as opposed to 'The Force Awakens' which was, well, better than previous episodes, not too good....

So who knows the basic storyline???

I see at least four AT-ATs...get busy.  Oh, and a Deathstar, if you could be a doll and knock one out.  Thanks.

After Salute dear boy, after Salute  :D

cheers

Trailer looked quite good.

But then, I thought the trailers for The Force Awakens looked great.

I was talking to someone else and figured out why this appeals a bit more to me.  First off, as it's outside the normal franchise story line (essentially) they don't have to address A, B, C, and D with each film.  They don't have to justify much, or indicate where certain characters are, or what they're doing.  Also it doesn't necessarily have to be as campy/dumbed-down as some of the normal films are.  I imagine it's a PG-13 film still, but I feel like the concentration might be a bit more adult.

I know that sounds odd.  Add the fact that it's proper retro setting (I literally got goose bumps just seeing the rebel trooper's helmet in the opening shot) and I'm even more enthused.

The big question: what if, somehow, these off-shoot films do better than the normal ones?  Or received higher ratings, etc.  That could be odd.  I hope they do not, in any way, dumb down the off-shoot films to protect the main storyline films.

Glad I wasn't the only one  lol

From our point of view these off shoot films have far more potential as they show the more 'normal' side of Star Wars and could be a lot easier to game but I don't think they'll top the mainstream films. Close, but not over.

cheers

Excellent!  I didn't even know they were doing another parallel schmequel. Is this for cinema release?
Looking good.

i guess this one will lead the style on Spin offs, like TFA pretended to regain the character's treatment of the original trilogy. Just setting the parameters on wich evolve next episodes....

I didn't know either... so that's not a sequel to The Force Awakening? Love Star Wars but never been a "die hard" fan... so I'm a little lost. Still, it looks pretty good 8)

Nope, as I understand it they want to release a spin-off film each year between the main "Episode" films.

it's the story of how the rebel alliance got the DEath star schemes ( which later were hidden in R2D2). Thus, Just Before EPISODE IV: A NEW HOPE

Wasn't it Bothan spies that got the plans?
Wait... the Bothans died getting the plans for the second Death Star...right?

This looks like a fun twist for the franchise, a more military side of the story.

We see:

Rebel troopers
Stormtroopers
Star destroyers
Death Star
At-ATs
Yavin
an imperial (grand) admiral (or something similar)

We loved all that and still do.
Admit it: It has the potential to bring back the greatest villain ever to the big screen - the dark lord himself, DARTH VADER - ALIVE!!!!!!!!

Ooh, that does look really quite good. It did cross my mind that these anthology films may just be Disney trying to claw back some cash from the purchase of the franchise, but this looks like a genuine effort to expand the 'new' Canon into some of the gaps between movies.
