Thanks guys

Cool!
It has a look of a more futuristic version of a certain owl from Jason And The Argonauts,
Hmm, did you see what happened to that in the last remake of Clash of the Titans....?!

After a (for me) marathon Saturday and Sunday of painting it's finished.
At one point I have to say I started loathing it, but now it's done I'm happy enough, although I found many approaches I'd change in any future build. I even filled in some of the not quite rivet holes I'd made - they were ridiculously big. I also realised the cockpit door (the one 3 storeys above ground, the one you wouldn't want to trip on the doorstep of) is (probably) closer to 50mm scale - I got carried away! But that's an easy one - it's narrow for 50mm scale, so I'm calling it 28mm. designed for a singularly tall alien species who make excellent navigators
That's the good thing of sci-fi scratchbuilds - if it were historical I'd have to invoke Area 51. Or the tallest of the Knights who say Ni - those are historical, right?
P.S.1 - now comes the bit I dread most - photographing it!
P.S.2 - @McMordain - you'll get there - I had to rush as I'll be away next weekend; and I want to see your build painted up - I can think of a couple of schemes which would look good and am curious to see your take.
P.S.3 - @DrMathias - oddball is a good way of putting it

P.S.4 - @Elk101 - hmm, now that you point it out, it does. It's been likened to half the animal kingdom by now!
P.S.5 - @Akula - coming from you, that's got me blushing.
P.S.6 - @Mason - for the formal pic I'm including a couple of bystanders admiring the monstrosity. I think you'll find them quite familiar...
