Doreen Goldbeck, Cheskora Line tramp steamer
« on: 20 July 2009, 02:52:05 PM »

This one is actually a conversion made from two Playmobil bulk ships.

Only one of them is a model ship:

My god man! Are you insane!

That is an awesome ship. I love the detailing and your photoshop work is excellent.

No way, you've taken a real ship and shrank it. ;D

Amazing. 8)

your photoshop work is excellent.

That´s because it is no photoshop work. I took the photos in situ in our local harbour.

I'll second that. By the way, did you check out this guys (I'm assuming here) blog? If you like pretty girls and are struggling when painting fleshtones like me, don't - it'll just ruin your day and make you want to crawl into your bed to sob.

Amazing stuff, I'm having another of those moments when I think that I'm just ruining perfectly good miniatures when there are people who can actually paint  :-I

Stunning.

Can you still get the Playmobil base... ?

I love the idea of your taking pics of your model ship next to all those real ones. Try that in a British dockside and you'd probably get arrested. Or beaten up. Or both.  ;)

I checked as soon as I read it.  ::)
Ebay & Toy'R'Us etc have it for around £35-40 brand new.  But you need 2.  :-[
Keep a lookout at the carboot sales.  o_o
