The Golem paints egyptian fantasy miniatures
« on: October 06, 2020, 10:24:57 PM »
Hello there.

I don't know if LAF can be considered as a support group, but I came here to confess a near pathological obsession for egyptian-fantasy minis (and also non-fantasy egyptian minis but that'd be a different topic for another forum board). I suppose Games Workshop is responsible for my addiction because of their Tomb Kings range. Of course, GW removed those minis from their store (sadly) but the damage is already done and now I compulsively buy too many egyptian-related minis for my own good. Naturally other manufacturers are to blame too, tempting me with all those delicious minis...

Anyway, I thought I'd share some pictures here on LAF because I don't only buy minis, sometimes I also paint them or play with them.

Three robbers entering a tomb. They might regret coming there.

A lady exploring a dangerous dungeon.

A lost pyramid in the desert

Undead crocodile is happy to splash in a oasis after walking a loooong time in the desert in search of water.

A thief meets a lamia demon

A 3D-printed hieracosphinx statue

A pair of skeleton servants.

An archer and a hunting dog

A scorpion warrior

Three elite mummy warriors

Two eunuchs skeletons

A dual weapon fighter

A skeleton warrior

That's a lotsa ghouls!

A pharaoh, his queen and their son united in undeath

The vampire lady wishes to have word with you as it seems you could be relieved of some of your blood.

GW Tomb Kings will never get too old for me

Four skeleton guards

Naturally I have a ton more minis to paint...

Lovely figures and scenery with some very subtle painting.
I am also a Bronze age myth/supernatural obsessive.

Incredible images. Really nice work. I see you say that you have tons more to paint, but this is off to a great start with the quality brushwork.

I do feel bad for the eunuch skeletons however; they're prolly glad they're dead.  lol

Great collection of miniatures and terrain.
Do you also have more Wargods of Aegyptus figures to paint?

Brilliant work! I particularly like your tomb robbers and the ghouls. Your style manages to make many of the GW figures I previously was unimpressed with something I now want.

Great work. I particularly like the way you paint the metal parts, very vibrant and effective.

Welcome aboard! Of course you can consider LAF as a designated support group for any sort of lead addiction or pathological obsessions for any kind of miniatures.

By the way, this entire thread reminds me of a few dozen semi-clad Egyptian ladies in my cupboard who insist to be painted soonest...  ::)
