I am currently working on a labour of love of mine: Transcribing the Grimdark universe to the Warlords of Ehrewon rules (and using Bolt Action as reference, too).

As Rick Priestly so kindly has provided a full points breakdown for WoE, it is more or less a question of putting profiles together and calculate the points cost.

I also have had to 'translate' some rules from 40K, but I think my progress is quite promising. I love the WoE system and the Grimdark universe, and I can now finally play some rules which reflect the lore (I hope to reenact the Deathwing-story first seen in the 1st Ed. Space Hulk supplement 'Deathwing', and other heroic stories).

That’s a very cool idea, using WoE for games in a 40k setting! I abandoned WoE almost immediately for playing fantasy battles (the close combat rules were way too… decisive for ancient/ medieval style fights), but it would totally fit a grimdark style battle with a little re-skinning. I’m looking forward to hearing how it works.

Well, I quite like the decisiveness; being a house owner with more than 4000 sq.m. allotment, family and pets, I appreciate battles not bugging down in endless here-and-forth.

That being said, I have a plan for making a hybrid between WoE and God of Battles, introducing formed units and some of the better parts of GoB, and here we might see some more 'pitched battles'.

Looking great so far!

As soon as I have had time to continue my first test-run (Dark Angels Scouts vs Necrons), I shall post some more - but we have had unusual nice early spring weather this weekend, and I have been cutting down somé trees overshadowing the veggie garden.

Been awfully busy with a lot of gardening, decorating the dining room for St. Patrick's Day, taking down the decor today, and re-familiarizing myself with Blood Bowl (3rd Ed.).

But I have had time to bid on a few online (FB) auctions, and here's one of the results

Ah, 3rd ed Dark Eldar...

That reminds me I still have quite a lot of those to finish... ::)

Good luck redoing them. They're actually still pretty good models and they paint up nice with a bit of attention, even though most people seem to loathe them. I like 'em though :)
Miniatures you say? Well I too, like to live dangerously...

Most of the painted ones will just be rebased/used as is. My eyesight is not what it used to be, and I really cant tell bad paintjobs from good ones when the minis are at the table, anymore.

I shall, of course, assemble and paint the NOS things, and paint the unpainted models, but as long as a mini can pass inspection at at three feet distance by a guy who needs +2.0 glasses for reading, they'll just be pressed into service  :)
