And here we go! More buildings and such - one scratchbuilt out of sprue and some Mordheim parts, one of my new Marx Cars, and a police station.

This one was kind of fun. I just used some sprue, leftover Mordheim roof parts, cardboard, and plasticard.

And I love these Marx cars of the Future. Simple, yet elegant.

And a Police Building that had a cracked roof - so I finished breaking it, and made me a small fortress.

I've been keeping the paintjobs simple, and a bit rough, because I think that helps with the dilapidated feel - I may be wrong, but hey, it is my table... ;)

... and a mighty fine table it is shaping up to be!!

I keep trying not to look at the future wars forum because all this Fallout 3 stuff is way too inspiring! I've got enough in the paint queue as it is!  ;D

And the final picture for the day - been a busy one painting and such. A cyborg bounty hunter with his ride - if it drove, that is.

This project is still ripping along at a serious rate!

I have a pile of those Marx cars waiting for the treatment too: they are great.

I've been keeping the paintjobs simple, and a bit rough, because I think that helps with the dilapidated feel - I may be wrong, but hey, it is my table... ;)

Well by keeping the painjobs simple you are keeping the output fast and as a result, consistent.  When the whole lot is on the table it will all look coherent and themed.  Thats sounds perfect to me.

Much better than most of my terrain which while all of acceptable quality they have been made over a duration of more than 20 years.  As a result, they dont really look like a "set".

On a critical but hopefully constructive note, the door to the police station/fortress could do with a wash and maybe a quick drybrush or similar.  It looks a bit undefined to me.

The scratch built ruin with the Mordheim roof works a lot better to the eye than I would have thought if you had just described it verbally :)

Some, but not a lot. An old employer called me looking for help that he did not have to train on a huge project he had gotten, and so I have been putting in 10 hour days for the last week. I have to say, this is why I do not burn bridges behind me when I leave jobs. I have a second board section done, but I don't have pictures yet. Now I am working on the river section ( got to make a bottom that looks good before I pour resin over it ).

With that in mind, anyone know where I might be able to find a small boat that is the right scale to partially sink in the river?

sounds cool, what style boat would you use, maybe an old ellectric rowboat like in the game?

And a picture filled update for y'all.

Here is a test run of finished terrain - one of my 2x4 boards, and some of my finished models.

Here is my second finished board - I broke up the road a bit more. I felt the other way looked too new.

This is the hole in the corner - I plan to use it for various things, like an ant hole, or a deathclaw lair, or whatever. I have an armorcast crater that fits over it pretty well.

And a selection of finished rock outcrops. I made these from pieces I cut out of the river piece.

And finally, a pic of the new section with some of the finished stuff on it. I think she is almost ready for playing on.

I'm sooo going to copy your effort with the road when I get around to doing some boards for PA.
