The comments about the movie theme of round 10 are really interesting.

I'd say that most of the genres we play have been reproduced in movie format at one time or another.... after all it's a predominantly visual story-telling hobby, right?  The logical follow-on then, is that most of us could probably go to our lead piles and score 5 figures for a movie scene.

What's interesting (to me anyways) is that LAFers seem to be putting a lot of effort into forumulating a scene that maximises the bonus points and really stands out, which should make for a cracking Round 10!
My LAF Gallery is HERE
Minis (foot & mounted) finished in 2025 = 74
(2024 = 38; 2023 = 151; 2022 = 204; 2021 = 123; 2020 = ???)

Round 10 is often very very cracking!

I have some ideas for round 10 and I do love thinking about it! In the meantime I finished my first entry and it's awaiting the matte treatment 8)

I don't know what to paint for round 2 yet though.

I do have some backup figures but those will only get used in dire need, possibly in later rounds.

There does seem to be more "action" on the forum about LPL this year ... maybe 100+ painters this season?  ;)

Quite!
I think we had 54 competitors in LPL3 - that's 27 matches / polls to set up every week. That's a good couple of hours work, by the time you've uploaded all the pictures and so on.
Of course I'd like everyone who wants to take part to take part. But if we seriously get 100 competitors, it's going to take some doing!  :o
My guess is we'll get more like 50 or so again though. But we'll see...  ;)

Ordered my civillians and Africans yesterday ::)
Have had a major rummage in the leadpile and massive change in painting schedule/queue or priority as the result of this.
Fortunately this coincides with a time when I'm painting up some figures for a game organised by the WD3 forum in April so I've got to paint figures anyway and those willl do for at least 3 of the rounds

Perhaps we should set some people on building a mod for the forum software to make this more simple?

Good idea. Now we need some people who're willing to do it for free.

I cannot do it all by myself due to lack of time but I do know a bit about things like this.

I wish luck upon the contestants this year! It's an awful shame the league had started up as I just moved house and all. Really wanted to be in the next one, ah walls.

The leagues are what allows us to show off all the wickedness of the combined LAF all at one sitting, no?

I finally finished my first-round entry of civilians.  They wouldn't end; they kept taking paint and taking paint...  And they're not even particularly good.  :(

But anyway, that's the first four rounds done.  I've collected the minis for the fifth round, but I think I'll get started on something else first.

Abot Round 10 Scenery bonus.

Is Colosseum a Good Bonus for last round?
In the movie Bruce Lee fight against Chuck Norriss inside Colosseum, no other member of gangs are involved, may I set a Gang Fight outside Colossuem?
