I think the new job definitely trumps getting new teams in. Congrats.

Cheers!

Get your new entry bonus each round, all the bonus points you can manage and you can compete with the really excellent painters

True, indeed.

Round 5 offered 30 bonus points in total.  If you won by 150 votes that came to a total of 75 points which you could have gained during the round.

Which is why I dropped from #12 to #16 after a 65-point win...  :'(

Round 7 sent in. Surprisingly fast considering starting on saturday. I think next entry will be harder as
I will start from scratch, weekend lost and less than optimal next week.
All models for round 9 and 10 has still not arrived.

4 more models to go for round 10, then basing, trying to make a semi-decent picture and then the hardest of all... passing the Blood(y) jury`s scrutiny for qualification  lol

 >:( stupid LPL, I’m running out of time… and now I’m running out of figures… ;)

Seriously though, is the deadline the same for the Easter weekend?

Yes, I'm afraid so. I think trying to change it now would be confusing for everybody, and unfair on those who have already fast-tracked their entries...

You still have a full three days to go before the deadline for round 7 entries  :)

Did you get my entry OK Captain?

Just looking through some matches. Is it just me or are there a lot fewer votes this round? Nearly down 100 from previous round ???

Whew, Round 7 finished and shot, and another ready for a photo.  I've just started working on the figures for 10, and am seriously wondering what I've got myself into.  Looking at the daunting horde before me, I may have to dig something out of the archives for either Round 8 or 9.

And there are definitely fewer votes.  I think we peaked over 400 for most matches in Round 3 or 4.  Last round, which I would have expected to garner more interest as a theme round, was only in the low 300s.  The unfortunate side effect of this is that at 300 voters, an entry needs 50% of the vote to get full bonus points, while it can manage the same points with only about 38% at 400 votes.  Short of forcing people to vote though, there's not really any way around that.

It's school holidays in the UK so a lot of our voters might be away.
My LAF Gallery is HERE
Minis (foot & mounted) finished in 2025 = 74
(2024 = 38; 2023 = 151; 2022 = 204; 2021 = 123; 2020 = ???)

Not sure Alex has had time to send the email reminder out this round...
A couple of people have said to me that it can actually be a bit of a chore wading through 36 matches and voting...
Inconceivable I know...  ;)

Well, Captain, you and Ray are doing a wonderful job there. Thanks again for that.

Round 7 entry is in, round 10 entry is photographed but needs a little correction here and there... Unfortunately I have no idea for rounds 8 and 9... yet.

Totally agreed.

Round 7 sent, round 8 ready to photograph, round 10 painting to retouch.
Round 9... well, I have a couple of alternatives... I'll choose.

Ciao!
Marco
