Those trolls are very nice! I especially like the trap markers. Very innovative. I have shield bosses and clear bases in my bitz box, but I would never have thought of something so clever. Very cool.

VERY NICE PROGRESS! The Trolls are SPLENDID additions...well painted & cool mushrooms for a final touch.
I'd NEVER join a club that would have me as a member.  G.Marx

Nice stuff Funghy! The action shot in the middle is great! Just one question... what the HELL are those trolls armed with?!  :o Mammoth stool? Or have they just been saving up for the occassion? ;D

Looks like!  You may blame DeafNala for this outbreak of fungoid-freakery...

That's right Phreedh, it's fossilised mammoth s**t.  Hurts like hell, I can tell you.

Just ordered a Otherworld Giant Toad, so prepare for a further random addition to the steadily expanding dungeon menagerie.  As I wrote earlier, next up are some RBG Goblins and Thomarillion furniture.

Fabulous project and I love those trolls, well done!
Let me hear the battle cry
Calling on the wind
Let me see the banners fly
Before the storm begins

Those trolls are my favourites (Bob Olley!) I've just ordered some myself.  :-*

They are superb models and I hope you enjoy slapping paint on them as much as I did!

I thought I'd add another update to what seems to be turning into a log of sorts.  Last weekend I came down with a cold (a man cold, to be more precise, and we all know how debilitating those are, right?) so progress more-or-less ground to a halt.  Still I have bounced back in the interim and painted up the duo of Ebob Spiders that I received on Wednesday last.  These rather fragile models are without doubt some of the best over-sized arachnids on the market and at £4 a pop who can argue?  Certainly my arachnophobe girlfriend doesn't like 'em one bit, which is a good sign methinks!  Painting was easy: a mid brown coat with two successively lighter dry-brushes and a brown wash finale.  Red eyes add a splash of colour and menace.

Here's a picture of one of the beasties in actions to give you an idea of scale.  Note Thormarillion bookcase in the background and rubble piles to represent dead-ends and where falling rock traps have landed (these are simply broken Hirst Arts pieces and cat litter glued to 3mm foam pvc).

Looking forward I've finished three of six RBG goblin spears and have an evil wizard and twelve RBG 'orcs' on the bench.  Oh, and it's my birthday next week so I'll be getting some more bits and bobs then, too.  Stayed tuned!

Beautiful job on the spiders. That muted brown color scheme makes them look very real and dangerous. The dungeon is looking very good. Great idea with the rubble piles.

Stunning!

Looks fantastic; never played advanced hero quest but your board looks fantastic!

The spiders from ebob  are an excellent find, I'm sorely tempted by them now. The choice of miniatures are excellent I'm really impressed. Keep up the good work!

Cheers
Andy
