Prof, could you please use my entry for Round six in Round five? It has nothing to do with Tolkien but it is painted and finished and photographed.

Will do, Jo.

Instead of allowing a rerun, I would try to submit a replacement team of miniatures shown before during the year. I have several replacement teams photographed with miniatures I've painted after the last LPL. They have been shown on the fantasy board here, most of them at least. Thus, no new team bonus and not really new to LAF but at least new to the competition.

I thought ALL entries could not have appeared anywhere before. That it didn't matter whether it was here or on another site - any previously published pics of a mini disqualified it...

Or am I misunderstanding others' advice?

The entry can have appeared on the net before, you just don't get New Team bonus points if it has. Phreedh is suggesting previously-shown but non-LPL figures as a more voter-friendly alternative to resubmitting a team that has already been in a previous round (as people tend not to vote for those).

Neither will get New Team bonus points, but the former is more likely to get votes.

(The first three rounds of this year's contest were an exception. They HAD to be new teams. Not so the other rounds, new team gets you bonus points in those, but is not mandatory.)

And this is why when you submit a photo of an "old team" (one that has been posted on the net before... whether in the LPL or not) you need to tell the Professor. Only fair that such an entry does not receive "new team" bonus points.

Just sent mine in.  Tightest deadline for me so far. Photoing so many minis all for 800pixels can be troublesome  :?

I'm "done" with both teams for round 5, but still have to do the bases, shields and any touching up. And of course the photography.  >:(

True, I have no time tomorrow but I managed to finish and photograph my entry with the glue barely dry. The paint job is a bit rushed on some of them but at least it's two LOTR-themed teams painted, whew! :)

Off to sleep now  :`
