It's great in person too! The flickering coals are heaps mad and it's fun to watch our models dash here and there in such tight corners! Also, that little cat in the war bonds poster is adorable.

Thanks Pete, it is fun hey.

What do we need next mate for OzLAM? More modular shanties to slum it up (an urban catacombs if you will), more buildings, or more cliffs/rockfaces/caves. The choice is yours!

Isn't he!  :-* Ah the internet..

Stretched sprue genius!

Not my genius, the collective genius of LAF. I think I spotted that on Wyrmalla's Fallout thread first... If my memory doesn't fail me. Which hey, it may. ;)

Great scene all around.

Thanks Matt!  :D

Cheers
Matt

Ooh, the shanties are tempting, but a cave that leads to a series of caverns would be cool too. Whatever doesn't take up too much space so that we can move it easily!

Wonderful stuff... a real viewing delight!  If I've already written that about this posting before, well, it deserves saying again.  Richard

Oh thanks Richard, that's rather kind.

I've been pottering on some dice towers. One OW, one sci-Fi and one post apocalypse. Here is the post apocalypse one. A ruined building with Windows. (Someone had a request for those, which has slowed the whole thing down as I needed to paint inside before finishing the build :/ but it's done now.) There will be a little more built on top, and I need to finish the groundwork.

Please excuse the cruddy phone pic

I'm just the worst, aren't I?  ;D The towers look great and I can't wait to blame them for not shooting anything.  lol

Not the worst mate, not by a long stretch lol

Who'd let practicality get in the way of a good design? Thanks for the challenge to do something more extraordinary. :D

Cheers
Matt.

Lots of brilliant new stuff here since my last, long overdue, visit over here Matt.

Shanty looks the part and that dice tower looks very PA already, I'm sure it will help to bring doom and destruction to any attempts by players to survive in the harsh PA world :D

Landon Ricketts inspects a merchants wares. One of them has a blown motivator, so Landon pulls his gun.

Transaction complete, Landon inspects his new Securitron and Protectron.

These two minis are from Brother Vinni's Nuclear Sandlot range. Here: Nuclear-sandlot
They come in multi part resin kits which are quite easy to put together with superglue. I had some real issues with the Protectrons, they have very flimsy pincers, one I broke while glueing the arm on, another two snapped off while lightly dry brushing, and another broke in handling in the first game. Otherwise they are great looking figures. Some figures are obviously closer to the fallout game model than others.

The figures shape up rather well with various figures

Thanks mate! :D When the world goes mad, the mad get madder  ;D

They look great but the breakage would bother me.

Oh you me both!!!  :-[  >:(
I glued two hands back on, only to have them snap off in the first game! I need to GS new proper meaty claws, but there is more to paint and i don't trust my fine detail GS skills yet to do it. So that's that really.

Cheers

Good stuff  :D

Could you not use brass wire and flatten the ends a bit with either pliers or a sanding block?

cheers
