Hey guys, I've started work again on some post apoc stuff to fight against my super mutants, which I shared here long ago. Here they are, for reference!

And here is the first of my tribal raiders:

This guy is a WIP, based on a mix of Woodland Indians and Post Apoc Survivor pieces. He is a Dead Snake, a tribal raider that inhabits the northern Oregon and southeast Washington area. I have yet to add his spikes and rivets to the green stuff armor pieces. The bearings on my dremel went out just as I started turning the spikes. :-/

I'll be painting him up in the style of the war boys from Fury Road.

Sweet !  :-* :-* :-*

specially these guys :

I wouldn't mind seeing some more shots of them (really like the bear trap as a weapon)

Your off to a great start with those mutants and Dead Snake. Looking forward to seeing more of them. You can say that the Super Mutants came from the old Umatilla Chemical Depot.

Great work on the muties, can't wait to see how the raiders shape up! Looks like the Indian parts mix well with the Survivors.

I have a few more pics in my project log showing the work I did to make it fit. Size wise they are excellent, but take some work to make the clothed to unclothed transitions work.

I got the spikes added on to my raider. A few more pics at my project log.

Filed and cut brass rod and styrene rod, drilled and glued in for stability. Looking forward to painting this guy!

Really great job on this guy - like the way he is coming together.

Ogres as Supermutants...I cannot believe I never thought of using those...and I play WHFantasy. (sigh)

I blame you. Went and bought some of the wood land natives from war games factory to make some tribals and warboys riders.

I am looking forward to seeing your work! I got a lot done this weekend myself. First, a painted example! He was my color test to see if the desaturated look would be alright on the table top. I had to go a little more extreme contrast than I thought I would, leaving the skin dead white instead of just extremely pale. Most of the color on the model is rust on the metals. It looks nice on the tabletop.

I got the rest of the warband (for now! mwahahahahhaha!) put together and green stuffed as well. Here is a group shot:

I was a busy fellow over the holiday weekend. I had a day off work without kids or SO, so nothing to do but slave away at the bench.

That should give me enough to play with for a while, don't you think?

I have some spear-armed figs in progress, but I haven't gotten a good "explosive-tipped spear thingy" together yet. I'll figure something out. These figs are far more fiddly to work with than the GW mutant heroic scale I've worked with in the past, so weapons are kind of fiddly.

You can get some bigger pics at my blog: http://www.twistedironindustries.com/2015/07/dead-snake-war-band-wip-and-painted.html

Very nice so far, like how well the Dead Snake scout painted up. I can't think of any idea as to what to use for an explosive tip for the spears ether. Maybe grenades or molotov cocktails tied to the ends?
