Yet more stunning work. The behind the scenes shot is very interesting. I like the clever use of camera angle and spacing of the terrain to give the illusion of distance. Brilliant.

Excellent scenes - really atmospheric.

Its very interesting to see the behind the scenes shot, to see how you put together the scenery, with the aim to make it work from the camera's eye view. Its pleasing to see that to get the great photos you have to put in quite a lot of effort to set everything up! But its also good to see that there are a number of tricks to bring together various pieces of terrain to make something that is more than the sum of its parts. Great stuff.

Great to "see behind the curtain" so to speak. You obviously put a lot of effort into your shots and it certainly pays off!
Adventures? Nasty disturbing uncomfortable things! Make you late for dinner!

Great! "Canon" is overrated, "fits the theme" is much more inspiring. Tolkien, obviously, incorporated quite a few ancient beasts in story telling but his world was open, and it's boundries and content not completely listed (thank the gods). At the fringes of the known world there is certainly room for mammuths. I think there *should* be, since Middle Earth is stated to be a sort of made up, heroic, golden age pre-history of our world.

Company of dwarves
T.A.1966 A company of dwarves ride past a farm on the outskirts of Bree on their way to the Blue Mountains.

This is another attempt at photographing my miniatures outside.

Large 15mm/18mm scale (roughly 1:100)
Dwarves are from Eureka Miniatures 18mm fantasy range. Farm is scratch built.

At Crisis in Antwerp this year our club are presenting a 15mm fantasy game set in the north of Tolkiens Middle Earth. The game is a battle between orcs on one side and men and dwarves on the other.
Our game is on table g03b01 in Hall 1 - http://www.tsoa.be/files/Hall%201%20A3%20Krommen.jpg

Here is one photo. The complete announcement with background and more photos is on the conventions thread - http://leadadventureforum.com/index.php?topic=94456.0

A few more photos of miniatures in our game at Crisis 2016 in Antwerp in November

The gates of Norgerond
TA.1966
With the power of the Witchking of Angmar behind them, orcs from Mount Gundabad drive dwarves out of their ancestral home of Norgerond in the Grey Mountains.

Warg riders hunt bison from the herds of the nomadic Alarith tribe. The northerners wont let that go unpunished.

Another couple of photos of the miniatures and terrain i am using in the game at Crisis 2016 in Antwerp. Hopefully a few of you are there i am looking forward to meeting you in person. We are using Dragon Rampant rules so join in for a while if you feel like it.

TA.1966 Battle of Northbridge
Orcs from Mount Gundabad have conquered Norgerond in the Grey Mountains and are attacking Northbridge. At Northbridge the orcs come up against an enemy wilder and stronger than themselves, the Alarith tribe from the Northern Wastes.

Large 15mm/18mm scale (roughly 1:100)
Barbarians are from Copplestone Castings.
Orcs on foot are from Khurasan Miniatures.
Warg riders are from Eureka Miniatures.
