This looks interesting. I've been after a skirmish game that could bring my collection of old GW fantasy figures into use but I was wondering how this will work with the cards? Would you just proxy the pigs with whatever you wanted to use?

Sure you can :)

When I started my project I decided to use my old Confrontation-stuff, namely the Celts to use as "Pigs".
In my eyes, everything "barbarian" would be suitable for the pigs  ;)

I finally played my first games on the dining room table.  It brings back the joy you felt the first time you played D&D as a youngster.  It's fun, and offers enough depth to play more.

I'm planning to use my old GW beast men.  Just making sure that the weapons are wysiwyg

That would work just fine.

We hit another Stretch goal with the Kickstarter campaign, and I am looking forward to that thief!

I also downloaded the quickstart guide and have been playing around with it all weekend, I love it!

Oh, it's loads of fun!  In fact I bought the downloadable deck just so I could play around with the rest of characters.  I don't have the full rules yet (just the quick start) so I don't know what everything dose but I'm having a blast.

Also, they reached another Stretch goal in the campaign, and unlocked the Thief.  She looks like a wonderful addition to the game.  I am looking forward to seeing how far this kick starter campaign can go!

Here's a shot of the thief miniature with a quick paint job next to her character card.

Fun stuff!

I'm really looking forward to getting that Evil Champion on the table too!

Since I don't have the full rules yet, what does that little bone-break symbol on her health chart mean?
I gather it is some kind of critical damage threshold or something.
What effect does it have in game?

Broken bones demarcate when a character is "critically wounded," which essentially reduces their effectiveness in-game by reducing how much they can do in a given turn.  As characters suffers injuries, they're slowed down a bit.  Healing back past critical damage also removes these negative effects.

Awesome! Thank you.  :)
Until I get the full rules I'll just assume it means -1 action die.
