Just photographed and sent in my round 9 entry, which is also a bit of a taster for my round 10 entry if I get it finished in time. 8)

My wife is really looking forward to it being over.  :)

I can echo that sentiment...The fact that I'm locked in my painting area every night until way to late is not going over well...but almost there...just got to push through!

I may have bitten off more than I can chew with this round though...I won't give anything away but these 5 figures may be the death of me....sleep deprivation is a BITCH!  :o ;D o_o

Cheers,

Blue

My wife is really looking forward to it being over.  :)

Mine was fine with it until sometime around the middle of round 6.  Then the patience started to wear a little thin.

This competition has been a huge eye opener for me. It has really brought into abrupt focus how little free, personal, me-time I have. Between a wife, one-year-old, my college teaching duties, and countless other demands on my time its a wonder I got anything done at all. I told my wife's family, and mine, that when I return from New York this summer I'm not traveling for 365 days and 'too bad, so sad' if they didn't like it :)

I understand, Dr Mathias - that's the reason I had to bow out of the league - before I had even entered! I had three rounds painted too, but with college teaching, papers to grade (aaarrrrggghhh!), a wife and a one-year old baby (like you), I knew I just couldn't commit to ten weeks of painting. I'm happy that others have managed to, though, because this LPL is full of absolutely brilliant painting and modelling. I take my hat off to all of you, because it's just as much about discipline as it is about painting ability!

Just finished painting round 9. Phew!  But can't varnish and flock until tomorrow evening so it'll be another late submission on Saturday morning. Ho hum.  Haven't enjoyed this round so much, not so keen on the figures but I need them for a game, loads of mould lines and damn fiddly to paint so have taken an age.   Aaaaaargh!!!!!!

Wow - the league sounds such a hard slog - really don't know how everyone manages it. Well done to those who try anyway.

Sent in round 9. Unfortunately it is something old(not showed before) as
the planned one failed to show up in time. I know one company I won't order from
anymore.
Also missing models for last round and I don't think they will show (maybe not ever) up in time.
This means that I for sure will miss to take all the bonus points.

By the way. You won't get more time to paint as the kids grow older. I think the only way to do this is
to plan way ahead, but considering that I decided to enter the contest the evening before the last date.
That is not good planning.

Good luck to everyone.

Morning gents
I'm getting on a hairyplane back to NZ today and hopefully will undercoat the stuff  for round 10 when I arrive on Sunday and paint it on Monday before I start work the following day - I've never painted jetlagged before ???

Do you this LPL or the next?
Quit when you are a head :D

Finished and just sent my round 9.
On to round 10. We have extra weeks to finish round 10 don't we :? ;)
I think I need another year to get all the stuff I have planed, finished :D
Don't know if it will all fit in an 800 x 800 photo. :'(

Say it ain't so! I was hoping to be matched against you someday, maybe League 6- as I doubt I'll creep into the top ten this round.
Frank and Blackwolf gave me a one-two knockout combo :)
