TM for you

Currently I'm wrestling through two units of Swiss cavalry (2,5 of twelve completed) but I just hate painting horses.
Although I do love the look of finished horse units...
To make matters worse my attention keeps switching to the Burgundians; mercenary Italian crossbowmen actually.
And for these I have a few questions which I hope some have an answer for.
1. How would these Italians have looked in the Burgundian army of the 1470s?
2. A sort of follow-up on number 1. Would the Burgundian army of the early 1450s have looked similar to that of Charles the Bold? Or would it have still looked more HYW in style?
3. Could/Would a crossbowunit mix with handgunners on the battlefield? If so, should both types be Italian, or mixed mercenary nationalities or even regular Burgundians mixed in?
4. I have the command set and three crossbowmen of the old GW's Dogs of War 'Marksmen of Miragliano' lying around. Could these be usable for 1470s Italian mercenaries, or will they stick out like a sore thumb?
