Those walkways are great - I love the wire work.
Thank you. :)

Agreed, boy does that look time consuming :?
Nope. I work with wire, which is easier to control, more easily and faster than with any kind of thread or rope. Making such a footbridge takes less than 30 minutes of work, or even less.

It was similar with rope bridges, it took me two hours to invent and make the first one. But the next ones, when I already knew what and how I wanted to do it, took me less than an hour.
I recommend the All-in-One Modulart Art Box – Ultra from KRYDRUFI, review HERE, shop LINK, discount code QUIDAM.

Ha!  I wish I’d thought of using wire before launching into my granny knotted rope bridge!  That looks far more doable!   What a great project….this is going to look an awesome piece when painted!   Brilliantly done!

Workshop: Struttendorf, part 18.

In the last posts on the DansE MacabrE blog I showed you how I built rope bridges and footbridges, but today I have photos of another model from Kromlech.eu - I placed the ruins on a base, which I covered with clay bricks of various patterns. I also made an additional, middle module with a floor from foamed PVC.

I love the building sitting on pillars of dirt look, definitely one I'm going to steal one of these days.

Have you had your board out in a game yet?

Thanks, glad you like it.

No, I haven't played on that table yet, but I have played on THIS one.

Workshop: Struttendorf, part 20.

It was time for the next stage of work on the building model from Kromlech.

After making the Prussian wall, it was time for the next elements. I placed the building model on a base cut out of styrodur, which I covered with clay bricks of different patterns. I also made the floor on the ground floor of the building.

The buidling models currently looks as follows.

Workshop: Struttendorf, part 21.

There are really not many models left from Kromlech.eu to show and finish the first stage of work.

Today another valorized ruin, in addition to the Prussian wall I added a styrodur base, a floor made of coffee sticks, a balustrade made of pine slats and a brick wall.

Workshop: Struttendorf, part 23.

After the initial preparation of the building model from the City Ruins and Town Ruins sets from Kromlech, it was time to build some additional terrain elements.

First up were the bastion/redoubt models, which I built from styrodur, coffee sticks, bamboo strips and clay bricks.

Today the first of the building model, which looks as follows.

Very nice, I really like the mix of materials you use on these projects. Also, that seems to be quite the party going on there.

In an entirely unrelated question, where do you get those drawers and organisers in the background? I've been looking for something similar.

Thank you. :)

I have two stands, the first from Hobbyzone.pl, the second from Kromlech.eu.

Luckily, a clean workshop is not necessary in this hobby. ;)
