Thanks!

A few more adventurers. The Goblin is from Dark Alliance and the rest from Caesar miniatures. I hope the woman can pass for Eowyn.

They look excellent. I think the female adventurer is a great choice for Eowyn. There aren’t many suitable figures out there in 1/72 but this one has the required features (sword, round shield, armour).

Very effective! I also think that figure makes an excellent Eowyn.

Her armour and sword are wrong but not too much I'd say, and I can see a resemblance in her face. As you say, there aren't may options out there. Thanks!

The only quibble you might make is that she looks obviously feminine from her armour and equipment (so less of a convincing 'Dernhelm' with her helmet on). But at 1/72 scale, you might consider that a feature, not a bug! And Frazetta  wasn't too bothered about it either!

They all look fantastic! I'm particularly impressed by the dwarves.

Exactly! I consider it a feature. I thought that I could have used any Viking without beard from the Zvezda box but at that scale nobody would know it was a woman and this figure clearly shows that.
Thank you Hobgoblin  :)

This thread has me seriously considering that Zvezda Viking set. I've got the Zvezda Hundred Years War boxes for England and France, but these vikings look perfect for a fantasy human Dragon Rampant warband. Also, I think these HYW 1/72 minis are actually a little bigger than standard so they're larger than some of my Dark Alliance models. According to PSR, these vikings are smaller than the HYW and probably closer to scale with my Dark Alliance.
Jack, I've found another picture in which you can compare height of zvezda Vikings. Here you can see two of their archers next to one Caesar Adventuer.

Elheim (www.elhiem.co.uk) have a small range of metal 20mm fantasy figures. The adventurers set includes these two. The female cleric might do as Eowyn at a pinch. File the shield flat and swap her hammer for a sword? Just a thought.

There are 100 types of people in the world. Those who understand binary and those who can work from incomplete data.

Wonderful figures I'd love to buy and fantastic painting (is it yours?). The problem with Elhiem is that I have to pay more for the shipping than for the miniatures, which makes more than 100% of the stuff value in P&P, but thanks for the tip! ;-)

Not my painting, alas. It's from their website.
As to shipping, I have the same problem in reverse. Some cracking figures available in the USA but I'd need a second mortgage for the postage.  :)

That's a great shot. Thank you. I do have that Caesar Adventurer and it's looking like an order for a box of vikings will be in my near future. Thanks again!
