I still have a pile of old lead! Started AD&D in 1981, minis not long after, and some are still w/ me! :-*

Now the fact that I sold nearly all my old LOTR minis, and NOW we have an LOTR bonus round... >:(

Anyone want 3 Uruk Hai and a Nazgul, foot and mounted on Winged Beast? Let me know! :)

Do the gods conspire against my involvement?

I ordered some figures vital for one of my three required teams and they arrived, the wrong figures.   >:(  And not the store's fault.  The right label on the blister; wrong figures inside.

Have to check my back-up plan.   ::)

You've done to well in the LPL years past. You have made enemies in the who now conspire against you.

Actually, I missed the last two completely.   :?  Surely the self-imposed exile will have earned me some better luck?   ::)  ;)

Nah, not really, I missed the one two years ago as well, but did enter in one where you were also participating...

I'm trying everything I can to make this a hard competition for you. I saw the prof is also helping me by forcing you to use short boring names for your entries  ;)
Why aim for gold if you can get lead?

Decided I'll have to sit this one out, as I don't really have either the time or figures spare. I'd never be able to do the theme rounds either. Shame, it was good fun before.  :(

Ah well, there's always next time... ::)

Good luck to all those who do enter, though!

Just an arbitary cut-off date of figures more than 20 years old.
Ergo - 1991 or before  :)
Simples!

My glasses broke today.
I can't paint with my spare pair - older prescription.
Repaired glasses ready Tuesday or Wednesday.

I will just carry on regardless.   ::)

You are not alone Malcolm. I ordered a batch of figures from a well known range (which shall for the time being remain nameless, but which is very popular here on LAF) which are for my intended Round 10 team, and the quality of casting is so abysmal, that i have had to email them and ask them to send replacements. Normally, i just swallow it and do my best to clean them up, but then i thought - honestly, why the hell should i? People are charging £2+ for single figures, you expect them to have all their extremities intact (which several of these haven't), and without great clumps of waste metal firmly moulded onto them here and there (which these have in abundance). Piss poor really...  ::)

Gentlemen, I am afraid that I shall have to bow out of this LPL. Expecting a wee baby in February and I plan on using my child as an excuse...starting now. I guess that Dr. Chimpula will also not be in attendance as she is having the baby...

Best of luck to all those brave souls who do enter. I can't wait to see all the entries every Monday morning!
