And now i know what colour to paint them :)
OK, one last time. These are small... but the ones out there are far away. Small... far away... ah forget it!

Lovely stuff, Paul. That's a great idea, to use a more streamlined system for some Rogue Trader gaming. All the miniatures are beautifully painted, including the cat - that last one looks very like some sort of alien cat species. Good call on that one! Bases are looking fantastic too - can't wait to see more of this project.

Very nice! I have a Gyrinx on my 'short list' of things to paint.
a mixture of quick parts, sarcastic humour, reserve, and caprice.

I've caved already - I'm going to get a couple of the Black Cat Bases cat models, and paint them up for fun as alien/supernatural felines. I've been meaning to order some of their wonderful accesories, in particular tools, gas tanks, and so on, for a project I'm planning, so this is the incentive I needed. Plus, my wife loves cats, so maybe I'll get an extra one and paint it for her - after I've dug any old Rogue Trader era minis that I have out of the lead mountain to see if I can do anything with them!

Thanks for the feedback everyone :)

Well Hawkeye, if you find any RT figures that you cant do anything with, then you know who to contact ;)

Meanwhile I have been working on a different painting project for the last couple of weeks but I managed to squeeze this old inquisitor model into the schedule.

Its a funny old sculpt and not my favourite of the old inquisitor models, but I am reasonably pleased with how it turned out regardless.  I painted the peculiar looking gun in colours suggestive of tau to make its odd design make a little more sense.  That makes Inquisitor Verhoeven here some sort of radical Ordo Xenos Inquisitor in that case.

Here he is again with some other older models that are suitable for this project:

More details on my blog.

I am thinking that next in this project might be some sort of desperado, gunslinger, bounty hunter type, but it could just as easily be something like a cudbear or jokaero.  I will see what takes my fancy next week.

Comments and criticisms all welcome of course.

Nice work, cheetor.
I do like what you have done with the fella.
He is in a bit of an odd pose, but a classic figure, nonetheless.

Great paintjob!

I have most of the old Inquisitors and they are all kind of strange looking, I think it comes with the job  ;)

If I can find anything, I'll send them your way, Cheetor!

That Inquisitor is excellent - the black and the white are handled beautifully! Looking forward to more.
