Inquisitor via Pulp Alley on Battle Systems Terrain.

After spending aaaages assembling my flat pack Battle Systems terrain over the last couple of weeks I got to play a game on it with a buddy and his new skirmish force a couple of days ago.  Pulp Alley delivered a fun game as usual and while the set up time for the terrain was significant, I will be able to do it a bit more quickly and satisfyingly next time.  It did make for a good looking, thematic game though.

Blackstone, Zoidberg is from Armorcast.  Its not a great miniature, but its so recognisable that it doesnt matter

thebinman, I got two of the Basic "Stronghold" set plus a couple of extras.  I didnt use everything in this game though, more like two thirds or so.

Did you have any problems with removal from sheets or assembly?

If its not fun then whats the point? 

Fun doesnt have to mean silly or stupid of course.  I do however like my gaming to be escapist, hence lobster men, goggledogs, floating skulls wearing hats etc.

The die cutting went right through the sheets on everything except some of the railings, which were a little more troublesome to remove.  The manufacturing was solid overall.

Assembly was inevitably time consuming, but less time consuming than getting a similar effect with anything else would be. You probably wont be playing a game on it the day that you get your set though.  Assembly involved trimming of slots in some cases.  I also ran superglue into parts that are likely to get worn quickly.  This all took time.

What is the footprint of the board you have there it looks massive!

The footprint is all of the floor tiles from two Stronghold sets.  It makes a roughly 40" square with two extra tiles (they can be seen in the top right of the plan image above.

Fantastic! This looks like a good way to get some nice looking terrain on the table.

40" square looks perfect for Pulp Alley scenarios.
