Thanks for the feedback folks

The AAR was great and most importantly it sounded like you had a load of fun.
If its not fun then whats the point?

Fun doesnt
have to mean silly or stupid of course. I do however like my gaming to be escapist, hence lobster men, goggledogs, floating skulls wearing hats etc.
Did you have any problems with removal from sheets or assembly?
The die cutting went right through the sheets on everything except some of the railings, which were a little more troublesome to remove. The manufacturing was solid overall.
Assembly was inevitably time consuming, but less time consuming than getting a similar effect with anything else would be. You probably wont be playing a game on it the day that you get your set though. Assembly involved trimming of slots in some cases. I also ran superglue into parts that are likely to get worn quickly. This all took time.
What is the footprint of the board you have there it looks massive!
The footprint is all of the floor tiles from two Stronghold sets. It makes a roughly 40" square with two extra tiles (they can be seen in the top right of the plan image above.
