Blimey.  o_o I could look at that all day.

Is the longer static grass glued down, or just set in place?

Thanks.
The grass is simply laid down around the figures, not glued. Check out my post on page 2 of this thread where i explained how i used the grass.

Lovely stuff!!!  :-*

Some heavy inspiration there! Please keep showing us more!

I wanted to ask btw, how do the Donnington figures scale with the rest of your 15mm fantasy range?

I ask as I'm trying to put together a generic 15mm medieval force using historical figures for fantasy, but can't find figures large enough that are reasonably close to the Copplestone Barbarians.

The Donnington are true 15mm (base to eye) but as they are civilians they do not need to be standing next to the reat of the figures so it does not bother me.
Nearly all of mine are large 15s (16mm to 18mm base to eye). I use-
Eureka fantasy 18mm (the Men of Grandeur are high middle age)
Blood Dawn (Magister Militum) 18mm
Blue Moon Manufacturing ancients 18mm
Demonworld (Ral Partha Europe) normal figures are 16mm or 17mm. Characters/heros are 17mm or 18mm.
Splintered Light miniatures 17mm
and of course Copplestone.
I have heard that the Black Raven Foundry miniatures are also big but i do not have any and i am waiting for some from Khurusan at the moment.
Cheers
Robert

Raid on a halfling village
T.A.1966. The goblin war party did not get the element of surprise they were hoping for. Éothéod scouts have been watching them since they left Moria and waited for them to move. As they attack the halfling village, Éothéod bowmen come out of the forest on their flank and the cavalry hits them head on.

Large 15mm/18mm scale (roughly 1:100)
Goblins from Magister Militums "Blood Dawn" range.
Halflings and men on foot are from Splintered Light Miniatures.
Cavalry are converted Blue Moon Manufacturing celtic cavalry.

Fantastic as always. :) A really nice choice of minis for the Éothéod cavalry, I think. And the hobbit village is stellar

I'm surprised to see so many '15mm' ranges are closer to 18mm. Are there any besides Donnington that true 15mm? (Rhetorical question - mostly!)

Actually nearly all of the other 15s are real 15s.
I started with large 15s simply because they seem to be the smallest size where you get good proportions as well as good details/faces (Eureka, AB Miniatures, Copplestone etc), the only problem is the choice is more limited than true 15mm. Since i dont mind converting it is not too bad especially as Blue Moon Manufacturing are at last expanding their ancients range with dacians. Dacian warriors would make pretty good Rohan troops.

But, yes there is a but. Come on Robert, I want to see Dwarves kicking orc butts  ;)
