Usefullness of Perry BIF range for later 1885 Northwest Rebellion ?

Bringing this back up as I've missed a couple of responses - thanks for those.

I'm thinking of doing fictional 1870 I suppose, Wolseley finds Riel and Dumont at Fort Garry... Battle at the Gate?  At the Forks! 

Now what to use for Riel et al. I suspect those other mentioned ranges. Shipping becomes killer when multiple lines are ordered for us Colonials.

I explored the idea of an alternative 1870, even got to the point of painting up 24 of the Perry BIF, but I didn't follow through.  Some of my ramblings got into this post on TMP:

For the metis, I considered Artizan's Texians and Foundry's Mountain Men, but got no further as I wasn't prepared to put that much money down!  I did buy a box of Perry's ragged Confederates to convert to Fenians (because in my alternate timeline, the zouaves pontificaux and Fenian Brotherhood both supported the metis!).
