Cheers Cook!

Time for some terrain! One thing I've thought is really missing from my 15mm sci fi collection is some decent terrain. I've plenty of buildings on hand to create shanty towns/not-Tattooine style settlements etc, but I really wanted to go down the wilderness route! The stacks are 3D printed pieces I purchased of Etsy.

I'm also doing a more vibrant Alien "Oasis" but this is taking more time.

Those are fun, Brummie. I particularly like the stone formations. What is the source for those?

Its from a line called "Print Your Monsters".

I specifically got them from this fellow:

That is a good find. Never seen their stuff before, Brummie. A lot of potential there. They have a line of carnivorous plants that really pique my interest.

Those are great plants etc. I’ve been looking for something along those lines. Thanks.  Also enjoying your painting and world. I have a bunch of 15mm sci fi that I’ve been painting up, with just a sniff of the setting so far.

Cheers

News Feed: Vie-Duria declares war after outrageous diplomatic incident.

And cheers Ockman, I'm hoping it'll really pop once I've got the flowers together, plan to disperse red flock/grass between them to make it look very weird.

Cook, there are quite a lot of useful bits and bobs on Etsy, not just terrain, I've ordered some really bizarre looking critters for Alien Fauna. Alien like plants is super plentiful though, if you type in 3D Print terrain on ebay you'll uncover some really bizarre bits n bobs since 3D prints are restricted in the same way as traditional model making the options for terrain are insane. I recently made a couple of orders for canyon pieces and some post-apoc ruins.

Eliot, thanks mate, have you got some stuff up on LA? You'll have to show us your 15mm sci fi. There is no end to what you can do with 15mm sci fi, in fact its biggest drawback is there is so much you can do the choice is a little overwhelming!

Also, here is the finished product for the first terrain piece: added some tufts and flowers and its helped make it stand out.

Brummie- I have not shown my stuff here. In fact only my family sees my minis. I shall remedy that today!

Thanks.

I was hoping I could find the STL files for those, but they don't seem to have those particular pieces available in a digital format. Not that I could find at least.

I look forward to it mate!

And Cook, if I find where they're hiding the STLs I'll send you the link! I keep track of where the files are so if I find anything of note I'll make a list. Might be time to update and modernise the 15mm sci fi list on LAF.

I thought I'd show of some WIPs from last few days that are slightly different from the above.

First is a piece of a crashed spaceship (MDF kit by Blotz). I originally just intended for it to be a windswept wreck, but now I'm thinking it'd be a great Smugglers camp/market so have got some cloth/toothpicks to crate makeshift shelters hanging from the ruin.

Second is work on the Commonwealths main Air transportation/Gunship: A 15mm Roc from Antenocitis Workshop. The Colonial Commonwealth has other air assets that'll be revealed when I show off the main portion of the army, but the Roc is the centre piece. Still a bit left to do, but should be done in a few more days.

Much appreciated, Brummie. I like the idea of a crashed hulk turning into a makeshift shelter. It scratches both my post-apoc AND sci-fi itch!

Brummie—

Nice looking smugglers camp. Sounds like a good plan. Maybe a couple of dogs or bots for security.
Also there is a list of 15mm resources about?

Sorry Eliot, yes there is the Sci Fi repository at the top of Future Wars which has lists of 15mm-28mm manufacturers etc, its worth a look if you haven't found it already!
