It looks great! I like how you handled the action taking place inside the passenger car.

Great work! I tried to find it in the last 16 pages....what did you use for the building signs?

Thanks. The great thing about the Ffol rules is that everything is possible and do-able.

Thanks. Houten is in Utrecht right? I live in Voorburg so meeting up shouldn't be a problem.

The signs are from TryCitylaser. They sell their stuff on Etsy.com.

It has been a while since my last post. Work took over and there was little hobby time. Today Groove51 came over and we played two brilliant games.
He played his Pinkerton again and I played my outlaw gang again under the lead of Earl-Ray.

Game 1:
The Pinkerton captured Earl's girlfriend Shotgun Sally. They are bringing her in by evening train. The Pinkerton have to escort Sally to the Sheriff's office. Once there she will be hanged the next day. She is sentenced to death for shooting the Sheriff.
Earl rounded up his gang to free Sally.

The train with Shotgun Sally arrived at the Hickory Flat station.

Earl-Ray to the rescue.

But unfortunately Earl and his gang couldn't stop the Pinkerton from escorting Sally to the sheriff's office.

Angry Earl retreated with the remainder of his gang and made some plans to stop Sally from getting hanged.

Game 2:

Save Sally from the Gallows.

Sally is being escorted to the gallows.

Earl and his gang enter the town.

The Pinkerton shoot their way to the gallows with Sally.

Unfortunately Earl came to late (again) and Sally got hanged by 'one eyed Jack'. He has to find a new girlfriend.

But Groove: be aware Earl will be back and he will be after the loved ones of the Pinkerton.

All in all again two brilliant games with some brilliant twists and turns.

My holiday starts next week so first up on the to-do list is building the Sarissa Corner Hotel. Next is painting some miniatures ;D

Za

The ladies must be having a hard time of it...my last game at GnomeCon a Texas Ranger beheaded a prostitute while she was at full gallop on a horse...seems we have equal opportunity justice.  :D  Nice pictures, I'm envious of your table.  :'(

PS: I don't believe Lee sells stuff on Etsy anymore - you can find his stuff at Knuckleduster in the states, and I believe Caliver Books is Knuckleduster's European partner.

Great thread, Za! Where'd you get that train?

The train is a 6 Euro toy from a shop called "Action". I just gave it a spray of matt varnish to isolate the factory paint and dry-brushed it with some browns and greys.

I finally started on the Sarissa corner hotel i bought a few months ago. It is a beast of a building and quite a tricky build. So I took my time and thought it through properly. I am quite pleased with the finish. It is a real eye catcher. It will also be the last building for Hickory Flat (or so I promised myself  lol).

The first floor:

The second floor:

The staircase steps provide enough room to push a 2mm MDF base in it. So you can safely put your model on the stairs.

The only thing that needs to be finished now is the outside staircase.
C&C as always more then welcome. I hope you can understand I am quite pleased with the hotel and end result.

Za

Za: That is bloody gorgeous, mate!
 :-* :-* :-*

I have been waiting for someone to sell this kit to me and you have certainly done that.
The attention to detail has certainly paid off.
Now, I have always had a reservation about using too much MDF pre-made stuff in my (planned) town, but you may well have just twisted my arm enough on this one to make me go MDF over scratchbuilt adobe for the saloon.

That looks great! Wish I'd bought that for my saloon instead of the scratch build I am stalled half way through finishing. Love the wallpaper. Is it home printed or preprinted craft paper? I've found some paper in the shop where I work with a similar pattern I was going to use on mine. Fantastic job.

Thanks Mason. This saloon delivers great value for money and makes a great centerpiece on the table.

Gutbukkit. the wallpaper I found on a blog and I just printed it on normal paper. I glued the paper on the wood with a glue stick.

I am meeting Peter tomorrow. We will check our agenda's and I will send you a PM. I understood you already had a game together.

Thank you very much TBC, I hope we will have a nice game tomorrow.

Great set up you've got there. Good job on the corner saloon too.

With this setup I can play the train-station setup on a 2X2 table and a small town setup on a 2X2. Tomorrow I am going to play the whole town on a 2X4 table. Like this (sorry for the crappy picture)

Za
