Thanks guys.  This project is a bucket list thing of sorts, giving me an opportunity to paint a lot of the weirder 40K stuff that I couldnt fit into armies over the years.  I find it very satisfying :)

Nice work on the Sleiti :)

Thanks Inso.  I have had that model sitting around for ages, so I was oddly surprised at how much fun it was to paint for some reason.  If HF ever make any more Sleiti then I will definitely pick them up.  That "Ieuan" model must be ten years old at least now though, so Sleiti must not be a HF priority.

Jackson nose and Presley hair.
What a combination!

A futuristic descendant of Lisa Marie maybe?  A bizarre thought...

Now for a Hive lander and techno barbarian?  ;)

There are a number of suitable guys lined up for addition to this right now.  That said, I did get a Space Eunuch in a trade recently.  Inq. Jodorowsky strikes me as the sort of guy who hangs around with Space Eunuchs, so he might be next if I can think of a decent colour scheme for him.

With regard to Sleiti, there may be another one fairly soon because HF are sorting out the 2012 sculpting comp and the Sleiti I sculpted may be among those cast (who knows?):

That's a cool sculpt. Maybe an Orrus stand in for Necromunda?
a mixture of quick parts, sarcastic humour, reserve, and caprice.

I hope so, that figure looks like a lot of fun.  I would enjoy painting one of those.

The shield/projectile combo would make it a reasonable stand in for a Jakara too.

Cool stuff here, Paul! I've always loved your painting, but dare I say...it seems to be getting even crisper. Love the Eldar Outcast - fantastic work. I love the way you put together models for different ranges, and bring them all together. It's inspired me to do the same, if I can get some painting done this summer!

I got an old RT Adventurer - a "Space Eunuch" - in a trade a few weeks ago and managed to get it painted this week.  All the charm and all the goofiness and quaint sculpting that you might expect from a miniature about a quarter of a century old.  Great fun, even if I did make numerous cock ups which I hope are not too visible in the photos.  The eyes are a bit off - I dont usually paint pupils anymore because they often make the model look peculiar - but the cartoony proportions demanded it.

The blog post for the eunuch is HERE.

I also got another gyrinx painted, this time a "Friskers" model from "Beastface Miniatures".  Its based on a flying cat sculpted onto an old Citadel Eternal Champion model, so its quite tiny.  It was crisp and nicely cast and a lot of fun to paint on a Wednesday evening :)

Thanks Hawkeye.  I am painting more than I used to and I think that I have got a bit better.   Its still all about the sortcuts and trying to get as much done above a certain level as possible for me though.  The lead mountain wont paint itself :)

I love the old rogue trader style. :-*
These were real metal miniatures,

You meant to say this right?!?  ;D I think the last thing you'll be worrying about with a space Eunuch is cock ups mate lol

Great painting as ever.
