Really cool town! Keep up the good work!

Thank you very much Tomitchoe.

Well things slowed down a bit the last week due to Christmas and a two year old girl with the flue. I did find the time to paint and weather the gallows, the cacti (they still need bases though) and a few tombstones I bought from Tricity.

gallows

cacti (not the best of pictures)

tombstones

the buildings nicely tucked away in the closet

I also started cleaning the Black Scorpion miniatures... I bought their resin miniatures at last Crisis and was very happy with them but now I am not sure, they need a lot of work and looking closer at them some of the casts aren't that brilliant. So a lot of sanding, swearing an greenstuffing ahead of me the next few days.

Regards,
Za

Hey, how old are your resin mini's?

I bought some about a year ago - they were so horrible, I emailed Black Scorpion, complaining, and sold them off.  They shipped me a small sample of four "new" resin minis.  They're 15x better.  Clean, proper resin sculpts.  They apparently revamped their whole resin process.  The previous ones were chalky, flaked apart, had exposed wire guides etc.  This about ruined me since my Black Scorpion Old West guys were metals before (and fantastic).

I don't know how many you bought, but snap some pics, and I'll take a peek - see if they're the old ones.  The new ones are quite good.

Hi Elbows, I bought the miniatures a month ago and I'm just a little bid disappointed about the amount of time it takes to clean them. They are not bad but certainly not brilliant. A lot of filing and using the old greenstuff (I'm not that good at using greenstuff  :() Ah well just need to be patient (but again not good at being patient  ;D)

On the bright side about 10 minutes ago the doorbell rang and my order from 4ground arrived. On first glance  :-* :-* :-* :-*. I must say just over a week from ordering to my doorstep with christmas in between. Respect. Keep you updated

Regards,
Za

Thanx Mason

Well I mentioned the arrival of the 4ground wagons yesterday... My lord are they beautiful  :-* :o :-* yust gorgeous. I spend a few hours yesterday evening putting them together. They are so nice, everything fits perfectly together and there were some pretty good building guidelines included. If you want wagons buy the 4ground ones. For gameplay it is also very useful that 25mm bases fit in the wagons. For painting I think I just put some shoepolish on them and a bit of weathering. I just love the color of the burned MDF on them.

I also finished the cacti yesterday, I based them and put some ArmyPainter tuft on them. I never used the tuft before but I really like it.

Still in their packaging

Put together

Cacti finished

They really do look the biz.

Love the cacti too.

Darn it, you need to slow down with your pace of getting Old West stuff finished as I feel urge to buy myself all the stuff I see here :D

Have you got any minis to work as wagon drivers?

I must say, I love what you have done with all of this.  I am very close to making an order of buildings - I would be using them VSF rather than western, but you make them look absolutely brilliant!

Hi

Lovely, esp the cacti and tombstones (are you intending to put dead character names on them?)

Great stuff!

Thank you all very much for the nice comments, this turns out to be a great project I really enjoy myself.
If you need cacti I can recommend the Imex ones (the rest of the box content is useless beacause way to small, but the cacti make up for that).

I have some free time right now so thats why I go so fast (that and a case of insomnia  lol). And pocoloco now I have to go and search for drivers because I didn't think of that before... Thanx  o_o lol lol lol lol

Thank you very much. Sarissa is great value for money.

http://www.etsy.com/shop/TriCityLaser?ref=search_shop_redirect. The company is called Tricity Laser and they operate through a site called Etsy.com. They say they only ship to the US and the UK but I gave the owner a quick email and everything was possible even your own building signs etc.

And here is a picture of the table setup for a game Groove51 and I are going to play.

Happy New Year and may 2013 bring us all many great games to play.

Certainly looks like a great start to a town!  Only a matter of time before you start adding bigger buildings...

I'm loving these lasercut wagons, I may have to order a couple myself.

I so want one of those wagons. Are you planning on putting horses or anything with them? Any particular models?

I love your paint schemes on the buildings.

Thank you for the compliments. I can certainly recommend the wagons they are just brilliant. For now I stick to these buildings. A good friend of mine, Groove51, just bought the Sarissa Hotel, Church and a few smaller buildings, so we will combine in the future. Also no horses and mules for now, I started on painting my models first. I played a few games with a finished town and very grey models  :D.
